Essentially, the community knows there are issues that need fixing, but Blizzard is seemingly more focused on seasonal content that it hopes will make them money. Diablo isn’t some super intensive game that needs a tank to run it. As Asmongold says, "There are obvious problems in the game right now, and the fixes for these problems are being withheld to a date after a date that we don't even know. I know I’ll get hit with the classic Mac gamer lul but Diablo has always been a game playable on Macs and PC, and up until Overwatch, Blizzard games as a whole. There, he talked about how "outrageous" it is that Blizzard is pushing fixes for key issues back to dates that aren't even currently known. One such fan is Asmongold, who recently hopped on a stream to talk about the game. The leaks follow word from Bloombergs Jason Schreier that a Diablo 4 playtest is underway for non-Blizzard employees, dubbed the 'friends-and-family alpha test'. Things like that have left some fans concerned about the future health of Diablo 4. For example, we know that gems getting their own tab in your storage won't be in the game until Season 2, meaning the game will have been out for several months before that quality-of-life fix comes to fruition. It will debut on the market on June 6, 2023. And with a not-so-great history of busted Diablo launches, Blizzard knows a lot of people are worried that its upcoming, always-online action RPG Diablo IV might be the next AAA game to crash. The Irvine crew formed a brand-new team to build a new Diablo III from scratch. Along with that closure, they also decided to cancel all of the work that had been done on the new Diablo game up to that time. Of course, Blizzard has generally been quick to fix many of the issues, but some of the larger issues haven't been addressed. For reasons that have never been publicly explained, Blizzard headquarters then decided to shutter their North branch in 2005. ![]() That said, while Diablo 4 has certainly not been as busted as Diablo 3 was at launch, Blizzard has had a few server issues that have hurt fans' enjoyment. My guess is that theyre trying to re-market it on Steam to get PC players to play CoD again. It has fallen out of favor on PC since the COD4 times. The reason why CoD is going back to Steam is because its mainly a console game with a proportionally small PC population. ![]() It's been setting records for the developer, hitting $666 million after a week on the market, while boasting solid critical reviews. Probably not, but its not out of the question. It's safe to say that Diablo 4 is a hit for developer Blizzard Entertainment. Despite what you might be seeing circulating online, Blizzard’s Diablo 4 is in fact not coming to PC Game Pass, as confirmed by Blizzard Entertainment president Mike Ybarra.
